'You Don't Have To Do This...' is a project I started on 1st September 2010, where I set out to make 100 compositions of exactly 60 seconds. I made one each day, and finished the project just before new years day 2011. I have each section streaming on Soundcloud, but I wanted to have a physical version of it - I decided to indulge my lust for handmade packaging and made 25 deluxe packages.
The boxes are 7"x7" 'pizza-style', and I've decorated each one by spray-painting them and decorating them with photographs and handwriting (they're all hand numbered too). Each box will contain:
* 'You Don't Have To Do This...' (entire project spread over 4 CDs, with 25 tracks on each disc)
* 4 individually decorated postcards (with 25 sticker versions of the original photographs I took for each composition), each with hand-written tracklist for each disc. I will then send out a disc with all 25 customer tracks to each customer. Should be fun...
* 10 minute cassette featuring my 2009 EP 'Holy Chrome'
* 'Dirty Urban Birds' (CD + direct download of my 40 minute beat-tape project which hasn't been released yet...!)
* Your very own unique, individual, one-off, exclusive 60 second composition, the title of which will be your name. This will be unique to you. This will be provided on 3" CD.
* Individual 3"x3" numbered 'micro-collage' canvas
* High quality download of 'You Don't Have To Do This...' (you can download these via a download code, which can be redeemed at Bandcamp - you will receive 4x25 minute tracks, which feature all 100 compositions)
* Your very own 'Late Model Sedan' toy car
* An original photographic slide
